Subaru thermo control valve recall
WebSubaru of america has been aware of a defective thermo control valve for almost a year (part 21319aa010). The part was redesigned since the initial part was subject to extreme corrosion. The redesigned part has the same part number as the original part. Subaru did not do any recall but instead waited for the parts to fail. WebWhile a recall concerns a safety issue which must be fixed, a Technical Service Bulletin just identifies a common issue and documents a solution. The difference is that manufacturers are not required to make the repair at no cost for a problem documented in a TSB.

This also turned off the forward collision, automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, lane departure, and rear cross traffic warning and braking. Web1 Oct 2024 · Anyways, the dealer says the Thermo Control valve needed to be replaced. The part is a few months out and on back order. Thankfully they provided us a loaner vehicle a few days later.
